Good Word Trades is a free directory of local trades — roofers, builders, electricians, plumbers and more — in Texas, California, Washington, Washington, DC and North Carolina. Businesses are listed by what their customers say: the rating and number of reviews they have on Google. Businesses rated below 4.0 stars aren’t shown.

What we show — and what we don’t

Each listing has the business’s name, trade, the town or area it serves, phone number, opening hours and its Google rating. We don’t show street addresses (many trades work from home), review text or photos, and we don’t send you off to other sites.

Ratings come from Google reviews. We don’t collect or edit reviews.

Free, always

Listing is free for every business, and the directory is free to use.

For business owners

Open your listing and choose “Is this your business?” to check your details, add your services, hours or website — or to remove your listing. Every change is checked by a person and goes live within a day. Owners who confirm their details get an Owner-verified mark.

Privacy

No accounts and no advertising cookies. We count anonymous taps on Call and website buttons, so we can tell each business how many people found them here.

Who runs it

Good Word Trades is run by Alcove Automations, a small studio that builds websites for local trades.
